Lifting Gear Inspector

As part of your role you are required to familiarise yourself with all company policies and procedures relevant to your role, your position function, department and Company which may include where your role interacts or has a cross functional relationship with other departments or companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • NATA signatory
  • Collate inspection data for reporting
  • Carry out NDT inspections in accordance with legislation and in line with GCS policies and procedures
  • Liaise with Line Managers to review project workload
  • Maintenance and inspection of in-house equipment, as required
  • Ensure all required equipment is calibrated and fit for use
  • Ensure correct usage of full GCS supplied PPE on site at all times
  • Monitor PPE, tools and equipment and advise when equipment is required
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and site requirements
  • To give the highest level of service possible to all of our clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on site at all times.
  • General warehouse duties where required

 

Academic & Trade Qualifications

Essential:

  • Current Drivers Licence
  • LEEA Certificate
  • Safety Awareness Training Card (White Card)
  • MPI Level 2 Certificate

Desirable:

  • IRATA Qualification
  • NDT Certs (UT/EC/PA)
  • Rigging Certificate
  • OCTG Inspection Experience
  • DROPS Experience
