Rope Access Coordinator

Global Construction Services Limited (GCS) is a rapidly expanding ASX listed company with a portfolio of businesses servicing the Australian construction industry. The GCS Integrated Services division offers labour services and scaffolding hire to the Perth metro, southwest and northwest regions.

Due to internal movements we are looking for an experienced and proactive Rope Access Coordinator to join our friendly and professional team based in Perth. The role’s primary focus will be to coordinate and plan the Rope Access Division’s activities in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.

Reporting to the Operations Manager Rope Access the role’s key accountabilities will be:

  • Assist in the preparation of project tender submissions, quotes and budget estimates in accordance with the company authority matrix.
  • Coordinate project planning, including preparation of GANTT charts, jobs scopes, and methodologies and attending project review meetings.
  • Ensure the client and GCS complies with HSEQ project specific requirements, including assisting with risk assessments, pre-starts and attending site safety meetings on behalf of GCS.
  • Liaise with Line Managers to review project workload.
  • Collate, review and obtain approval for labour time sheets from client and site personnel.
  • Review timesheets submitted for payroll processing.
  • Assist site administration and Manning and Logistics personnel in the preparation of project roster and manning levels.
  • Ensure Rope Access is inspected at intervals as required under client’s guidelines, IRATA ICoP and OSH’s regulations.
  • Monitor the equipment and rope access resources to ensure compliance with legislative and IRATA requirements.
  • Participate in all accreditation audits (e.g. NATA, IRATA) and review and assist with the close out of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ongoing review of all systems and operations to ensure maximum efficiency and adherence to all GCS management systems and legislative requirements.Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Current C class drivers licence
  • Safety Awareness Training Card (white card)
  • IRATA Qualification
  • Trade Certificate
  • Section 44 Training – Appointed Persons
  • MSIC

 A high risk work license (Scaffolding) and qualification in Management (e.g. Frontline Management) will be highly regarded.
